About this event

Would you like to learn the skills to effectively communicate with local lawmakers and other municipal organizations on behalf of the environment? Please join Golden Eagle Audubon Society for our Advocacy Workshop on November 2nd, from 10:30am-2:30pm at the Library! at Bown Crossing. We invite and encourage our members and friends to participate in this important half-day workshop.

The goal of this training is to provide tools to help our community members become successful advocates that can talk with their legislators confidently and present facts in support of birds and other wildlife. Daly Edmunds, Director of Policy and Outreach for Audubon Rockies, will be leading the workshop along with local legislators and community advocate partners.

Topics will include:

  • Engaging with elected officials
  • Coordinating in-person meetings with decision-makers
  • Letters to the editor
  • Making an official comment and more!

This is a great opportunity for participants to strengthen their ability to support initiatives for the protection of birds and their conservation. This is a free event with refreshments and lunch provided. Space is limited. Registration required.
